As cyclists, we believe in the transformative nature of bicycling so it was natural for us to donate our services to build this important brand. Founded in 2009, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) develops mountain bike programs for student-athletes across the United States. NICA provides leadership, services and governance for local leagues to produce quality mountain bike events. They support every student-athlete in the development of strong body, strong mind and strong character through their efforts on the bike.
By working with NICA’s head of marketing and design, we’ve helped create a new brand experience that’s streamlined, energetic and inspirational. The visual identity system articulates the NICA story, beginning with a new, refined wordmark designed to feel vibrant and refreshing while conveying a strong sense of organization.
The new NICA wordmark translates across platforms, from woolen hats to cycling jerseys. With clearly defined brand guidelines, NICA now has a strong brand identity that’s memorable, invigorating and definitive.
